This HDD Caddy uses a SATA to SATA connector. You have an old laptop with a damaged DVD RW, just replace it with a new hard drive and install it on the HDD Caddy, your laptop will have two hard drives. There are 2 types: – 9.5mm thick and 12.5mm are used for slim laptops which are thinner/thick in body. Installation Steps

Simply remove your CD/DVD-ROM drive and put the Caddy (with the Your hard drive) in its place.

Unpack the New drive.lift the adapter retaining latch.the screw to the hard disk.Insert the drive into the Adapter at an angle.Slide the drive into the connector until it locks into place.Lower the adapter retaining latch until it snaps closed.
